Val Edward Kilmer was an artist, first and foremost. While most of us know him from his films, he started out as a stage actor who later found fame on the silver screen. Ironically, some of his most memorable characters cast him in the supporting role such as 'Iceman' in Top Gun and 'Doc Holiday' in Tombstone. His films covered a wide variety of genres including comedies, dramas, action adventures, westerns, historical films, crime dramas, science fiction films, and fantasy films.

Looking back at my own past, I can absolutely see my fashion sense and sense of humor were inspired by his characters in Real Genius and Top Secret.

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Kilmer at the Denver Comic Con and I'm happy to report that he was a gracious celebrity who loved his fans.
