岸本久美子と読む源氏物語へのご案内 第二章「紫のゆかりを尋ねて」 紫の上の姿を追う 一年かけて光源氏の生涯を辿っています。続いて今度はその伴侶として一生を終えた紫の上の姿を追ってみたいと思います。源氏の想い人藤壺の宮の形代として彼の手元に引き取られた愛くるしい少女が、大人になって、彼の心の支えとなる一方で、妻として夫の多情に苦しみ、その中で成長し、愛を浄化してゆく過程を追ってみましょう。始めは光源氏の娘のような存在として登場した彼女がやがては妻として彼を支え、やがては母のような存在となってゆくのです。藤壺の宮の形代から、それを越えた紫の上そのものになっていったともいえます。 第一章「光源氏の一生」 美貌と叡智の権化のようなスーパーヒーロー光源氏を主人公に据え、彼が、様々な恋を経験しながら、栄華の道を登り詰めるという昔物語の型通りのお話になるはずでした。ところが、書き進む中で彼女の中に何かが起こりました。本当の事が書きたい、絵空事に終わらない物語が書きたいという欲求が芽生えたのです。 そして源氏物語は光源氏という主人公を巡る「愛と恋の物語」から、「老いと悔いの物語」へと変貌したのです。ＡＩとＫＯＩの物語からＯＩとＫＵＩの物語へ。 さあご一緒にその光源氏の一生を辿ってみましょう。 朗読内の引用原文はすべて「新潮日本古典集成」によるものです。

<p>第四章「通り過ぎた女君たち」</p><p> 瀬戸内寂聴さんは「源氏物語はどこを開いても男と女の愛と恋のお話、光源氏の最大の才能は女たらし」とどこかに書いておられました。たしかに光源氏は、その生涯で、10指に余る女性と関わっています。ただし、彼の恋の狩人時代は、10代のある時期に限定されていて、源氏物語全体を見れば恋物語の分量はさほど多くはないのです。この章では光源氏がその青春時代に関わりを持った女君の中から６人だけをとりあげてみました。月２回、全６回を予定しています。原文の引用はこれまでと同じ新潮日本古典集成によります。</p>
