<p>這一集要和大家分享，這幾個月來陪伴兒子申請大學，等待錄取結果開獎，如坐雲霄飛車般、三溫暖的心情！對於不按牌理出牌、無法預測的錄取結果，家長如何與孩子一起面對？競爭激烈的加州大學，九間分校裡有六間的申請人數都多達十幾萬人！而競爭最激烈的科系，錄取率竟然低到只有1%！其實申請大學是人生另一個階段的起點，但絕不該是個終點，不論結果如何，都要鼓勵孩子，人生的路還很長很開闊，一個關卡並不代表一生的成敗。 </p>

<p>居住美國二十多年，每年一定都會去旅行，在旅途中碰過不少誇張事，累積了好多人生經驗。曾經去國家公園戶外露營 (glamping) 意外的冷了一整夜；在旅館睡到一半消防警鈴大作，趕緊抱著睡夢中的孩子拼命往樓下衝！也曾在紐約曼哈頓碰上夜晚大停電；走在芝加哥的街頭被跟蹤！幾年前帶著兩個孩子，在拉斯維加斯和舊金山的熱鬧街頭被強迫推銷，還遇過神智不清的怪人亂吼亂叫。也難忘第一次去紐約時，對地鐵推人事件感到害怕。然而這一切都不能掩蓋旅行的美好，重點是從旅行中學習如何保護好人身安全。在所有的旅行裡，最平靜美好的意外，是有一次去加拿大魁北克，訂旅館不小心訂到修道院！家庭旅遊頓時變成靈修之旅！歡迎來聽我的旅遊分享。</p>
