For those of us who grew up listening to him, it wasn’t just the Brewers we were tuning in for—it was Bob. He was a friend through the radio waves, a companion for every pitch and every home run. It’s hard to put into words what his voice meant to the fans of Milwaukee, but on those warm summer nights, he made you feel like you were home, even if you were far away from the ballpark.

Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):

https://uppbeat.io/t/revo/kinetic

License code: HMC4ZXZEGZQ0DJLY

Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):

https://uppbeat.io/t/mountaineer/childhood-friend

License code: XULMMTKIEOIXFPSZ

Music from #Uppbeat

https://uppbeat.io/t/ak/sky-high

License code: 5QOUIDHS1607VSCL

For so many people, Bob was more than a broadcaster or a ball player—he was the embodiment of summer days at the ballpark, a constant voice threading through the decades. His love for the game echoed that of a nation that was growing and expanding through the decades, and all the while, Connie Mack was there bringing baseball to the masses with a kind, soft spoken approach in a full suit and tie.

Music From:

Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):

https://uppbeat.io/t/revo/kinetic

License code: HMC4ZXZEGZQ0DJLY

Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):

https://uppbeat.io/t/mountaineer/childhood-friend

License code: XULMMTKIEOIXFPSZ

Music from #Uppbeat

https://uppbeat.io/t/ak/sky-high

License code: 5QOUIDHS1607VSCL

Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):

https://uppbeat.io/t/revo/universal

License code: TI1TFQNEVJHVW8HX
