March 5, 1959, The Negro Boys Industrial School went up in flames and 21 black boys burned to death. In this episode, I take a deep dive into the history of the school and the men put in charge of running it. Over the years rumors circulated of a cover-up regarding the fire and how it started and the State of Arkansas has some explaining to do. Check out the links provided so you can read about Arkansas Secret Holocaust yourselves.

https://linktr.ee/behindthesilk

https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/entries/negro-boys-industrial-school-fire-of-1959-5500/ https://www.everand.com/read/362780580/Black-Boys-Burning-The-1959-Fire-at-the-Arkansas-Negro-Boys-Industrial-School#__search-menu_173509 https://medium.com/@teibrown/the-1959-tragedy-of-the-negro-boys-industrial-school-fire-injustice-resilience-and-the-legacy-of-45567ff8320f

https://katv.com/news/local/wrightsville-21
--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blackgirltruecrimepodcast/support

In 2005 Latoyia Figueroa went missing without a trace. During the duration of her disappearance her family and local bloggers banded together in the fight to get her story to mainstream news. Between July and August the city of Philadelphia was turned upside down in search of clues that could explain how a pregnant mother of 1 could vanish out of thin air. Join me as I discuss racial bias in journalism and the life and death of Latoyia Figueroa. The world is fucked up y'all, let's talk about it.
--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blackgirltruecrimepodcast/support

Happy Black History Month my friends, its our time to turn up. I drove our bus back to the Crescent City to tell y'all the story of Renetta Yemika-Lowe Bridgewater aka Magnolia Shorty. In 2010 Renetta was murdered in a double homicide along with Jerome Hampton and their deaths were nothing less than violence. In this episode I dive into the history of New Orleans and the Magnolia Projects which was a cradle for the most influential artists of our time. The streets tell a different story when it comes to the death of Renetta, who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Y'all know its fucked up out here, let's talk about it.

Check out these amazing links that I shouted out in the episode

Magnolia Projects: Hood History (Documentary) | 3rd Ward

https://newtralgroundz.com/2022/06/17/magnolia-projects-story-of-cj-peete-3rd-ward/

Comedian Boogie B | New Orleans Hood History

https://www.tiktok.com/@comedianboogiebofficial?lang=en

SepTeena Youtube Channel

https://www.youtube.com/@SepTeena

Information on Magnolia (C.J.
