世界各地熱情的孩子們正在上學的路上。但他們要如何到達那裡呢？孩子們透過繪本，就可以看到世界各地的小孩怎麼去上學，例如紐約的孩子坐渡輪，挪威的孩子滑雪，中國南京的孩子騎腳踏車，瑞士的孩子坐纜車，肯亞的孩子坐火車，印度的孩子坐雙層巴士，蘇聯的孩子坐地鐵，而澳洲有的孩子因為地方遼闊，只能聽收音機做遠距學習。而在賓州的Amish人則是過著純樸自然的生活，坐馬車去上學。這些不同的上學方式，著實讓孩子們感到新奇、感到驚訝，甚至是羨慕不已呢！最後附有一張世界地圖，以及故事中所有孩子居住的國家和城市清單。
