Welcome to Facing Off: a podcast where we take two movies we find to be similar and we compare, contrast, and rate them. We believe that movies should be talked about and the best way to judge a movie is by comparing it to something similar. We will talk about good v. bad movies, great v. good movies, or two equally good similar movies from every genre. Hosted by Nick, Layla, and Gabe.

Follow/connect:

instagram.com/facingoffpod

twitter.com/facingoffpod

[email protected]

You must not fear, fear is the mind killer. So we're back with a mega sci-fi blockbuster episode. We stepped off our sandworms and pocketed our lightsabers to discuss two world-building epic first films in big franchise series both based to a certain degree on Frank Herbert's hit novel. We're facing "Dune" (2021) off against the iconic "Star Wars" (1977). Which protagonist yells more? Which main planet has more sand? Spice visions or The Force? Who's more manipulative: the Bene Gesserit or the Jedi? Who kills henchmen better: the Harkonnen's or Darth Vader? All these questions and more are asked and answered as we break these movies down to declare a winner in our hearts.

*Using the Voice* Listen, subscribe, leave a rating and/or review, and let us know what you think about these movies!

Follow Us:

instagram.com/facingoffpodcast

[email protected]

Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands

Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Abandon hope all ye who enter here... because we have another mega episode covering all 3 Lord of the Rings movies. Like the return of Sauron, we are so back and joined by a fellowship of Middle Earth's finest: Ava, Aron, and Clay. This is an epic quest indeed breaking down our favorite moments, characters, and trivia, while also noting any throwaway scenes from the extended versions or any flaws we found on rewatch. Lastly, we rank the movies and give suggestions for other movies and tv or book series you can check out. So boil it, mash it, or stick this podcast into your ears!

Join our Quest:

instagram.com/facingoffpod

[email protected]

Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands

Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Smile because It's coming right at you! This horror episode gets deep into the trenches of teenage STD spreading and trauma girlies. We brought horror-expert Nicky D back on to compare two psychological, supernatural horror movies that serve as allegories for societal issues. We faced the creepy 2022 hit "Smile" off against the cult classic 2014 indie film "It Follows". As we try not to look into those demonic eyes, we pick which movie survives. (Episode contains spoilers)

What are your favorite psychological horror/thrillers?

instagram.com/facingoffpod

[email protected]

Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands

Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
