To "φουτμπώλ" είναι ένα podcast για την ιστορία και την κουλτούρα του ποδοσφαίρου. Μια βάση στην οποία συλλέγεται και παρουσιάζεται δομημένη και σε βάθος η παρουσίαση του σπορ ως αθλητικού και κοινωνικού φαινομένου, η ιστορία του και η εξέλιξή του, όχι μόνο τα γεγονότα, αλλά και οι αιτίες τους. Κάτι μεταξύ ντοκιμαντέρ και καφενειακής κουβέντας, δηλαδή. Δεν είμαστε τίποτα επαγγελματίες δεκαετιών, περισσότερο μαθητευόμενοι μάγοι. Απλά αυτά που μαθαίνουμε τα μοιραζόμαστε με ένα κοινό που έχει την ίδια πώρωση και πάθος για το ποδόσφαιρο, το φουτμπώλ, με εμάς!

<p>Γιατί το ποδόσφαιρο είναι βρετανικό; Γιατί αυτό που παίζεται σήμερα σε όλο τον κόσμο είναι το "English game"; Γιατί, από όλες τις πιθανές δραστηριότητες ψυχαγωγίας, το ποδόσφαιρο ήταν αυτό που συγκέντρωσε το ενδιαφέρον και τη συμμετοχή των μαζών, της εργατικής τάξης; Η Βρετανία δε γέννησε απλά το ποδόσφαιρο ως σπορ, το διαμόρφωσε ως κοινωνικό φαινόμενο πριν το εξάγει στον υπόλοιπο κόσμο.
