Gustav har ikke fått sove siden sist og vil fortsette diskusjonen fra forrige gang. Burde kunsten være tidløs, eller er den alltid historisk betinget? Samtalen glir etter hvert (nesten) sømløst over i en diskusjon om ukens maleri, Foss i Nedre Telemark av August Cappelen fra 1852. Hva kan man lære av maleriet? Skal kunsten være tidløs eller er den alltid knyttet opp til sin samtid? Hva er egentlig poenget med kunst? Og liker egentlig Gustav kunst?
