<p>初出場のリオパラリンピックは８位、地元開催の東京は７位、パリでは６位。<br />メダルを目指し、すべてをかけた舞台で満足のいく、結果を残せませんでした。</p> <p><br />当初は失意から、「神様は一歩ずつしかご褒美を与えてくれないのか」と語った瀬立モニカ選手。</p> <p><br />しかし、大会後すぐにロサンゼルスに向けて再始動する姿がありました。<br />その決断の裏にあったのは、無観客の東京では味わえなかった、パリでの大歓声。</p> <p><br />実はこの「大歓声」、母親であるキヌ子さんが深く関係していたのでした。<br />「母がいたから頑張れた…」</p> <p><br />再挑戦の決断と母娘の“絆”物語を、長年取材してきた松岡修造さんがその胸中に迫ります。</p>

<p>パラパラリンピックの100mバタフライで見事2連覇を達成した木村敬一選手。<br />その快挙を支えたのが、オリンピックで2大会連続銅メダルを獲得した星奈津美さん。 <br />星さんは、木村選手と同じ1990年生まれで以前から親交がありましたが、昨年１月に食事を共にした際にコーチを打診され、引き受けることとなりました。 <br />指導経験はありませんでしたが、木村選手の熱意に心を動かされました。一緒にプールに入り、木村選手の腕や脚をつかんで動かしながら、理想的なストロークの軌道やキックの打ち方を教えました。さらに、星さんは今年７月に第１子となる長男を出産したばかりだったにも関わらず、 <br />子どもと共にパリへ駆けつけ応援。2人で作りあげた泳ぎは大会連覇という形で結実しました。 <br />快挙を支えた五輪メダリストとの同学年の“絆”の物語。</p>

<p>パリパラリンピックで日本史上初の金メダルという快挙を達成した車いすラグビー日本代表。<br />帰国後は渋谷でパレードが行われるなど、日本に多くの感動を呼びました。 <br />金メダルの大きな原動力となったのが、チーム最年少・橋本勝也選手、２２歳。<br />今大会は、チーム最多得点と躍動しました。 <br />橋本選手は、１６歳で代表入りしたものの出場機会に恵まれず。自分を変える為、仕事を辞め、競技第一の生活へ。肉体改造も行い、すべてはラグビーの発展のためすべてを捧げてきました。 <br />そんな橋本の成長を近くで見守ってきたのが、池崎大輔選手。（４６） <br />橋本選手が競技を始めて、間もないころから、厳しい指導だけでなく、苦楽を共にし、切磋琢磨しながら成長を続けてきました。 <br />車いすラグビー悲願の金メダルを支えた、師弟の“絆”物語。</p>
