SEASON THREE: INNER MASTERY. We are turning our attention to inner mastery. We are going to make the case that your highest leverage point for creating growth and change for yourself and in the world is through mastering your inner world.

Inner mastery means that you are free from habitual reactions that end up keeping you stuck and cycling around the same dilemmas at work and in life, so you are more present to assess what comes to meet you with new wisdom and clarity.

This becomes especially important when you want to live a life of purpose and meaning as a leader, change-maker or visionary. How you show up as a leader is going to be amplified across your organization or community — both your shadow and your light. Others depend upon you taking responsibility for your faults and weaknesses, and for the quality and clarity of the pictures and concepts you carry. You need to become good at skills such as clear and specific communication, 100% responsibility for your projections, inspiring high performance, and creative capacity for strategy and problem solving.

One way we describe this is “what you believe appears around you.” And this is also why we say that the highest leverage point you have as someone wanting to make change, is through mastery of your own inner life.

We want to see you achieve the freedom that mastery brings so you can respond to the demands of a meaningful and purposeful life with inner agency, outer discipline, and real capacity.

SEASON TWO: THE ART OF MENTAL HEALTH — In this season the Magenta team come back to discuss mental health and wellness. We’ll draw from our own experiences with healing, and from our work helping others drawn from our research into little known fields of inner development.

We’re going to go between the phenomena we can observe about the inner life and its healing, and specific challenges such as generalized anxiety disorder, depression, and trauma.

We’ll bring practical concepts that might sometimes seem outrageously different from the prevailing understanding of mental health, share insights about a different way to work with common issues, and talk about the need for an anatomy of the inner life that can help guide us toward genuine and effective paths of healing — and put the power and agency to heal back in our own hands.

SEASON ONE: THE ART OF RELATIONSHIPS —We live in a social world. No matter what we do, our lives involve people. MagentaFM brings you stories, teachings, and contemplations about the invisible spaces between us that shape our lives and can make or break our joy, prosperity, and health. What gets in the way of fruitful collaboration? Why do we tolerate unhealthy, even toxic, behavior? And how can we work with people confidently, even creatively?

In the inaugural season we focused on the art of relationships. All relationships. With a spouse, family, colleagues, bosses and employees, the principles are the same. And how you do one thing is how you do everything so you'll likely see the same patterns showing up in many areas of your life.

We look at real-life stories, share honestly about topics that are vulnerable and typically taboo, and explore these phenomena from a western esoteric perspective. How do you solve conflict? How can you collaborate better with colleagues? What should you do about a toxic work culture? Why are bullies or narcissists showing up in your life? How can you have a healthier marriage? How to have a healthier relationship with friends and family? What to do about dysfunctional family?

Learn how to transform the dynamics we get embroiled in, and elevate the interactions we have with others.

This week Magenta dives into the inner game of leadership. Another way to talk about this is the oft-used term: mindset. What IS mindset, and how can we better understand it, work with it, and transform it? And how could our inner world of mindset actually shape our outer world? We break it down with some real-life examples.

“What you think appears around you” and “what is coming to you is actually coming from you” are two challenging assertions that we have found to be true in our own lives and work. We’ll get into why this is and how we can use this phenomenon to our advantage.

How can we help shape and influence the mindset of those we are leading? We offer some “left field ideas” to inspire a more creative approach to getting teams and groups on board with your vision.

Get a taste of How To Do Soul Work with our FREE 5-day Challenge.
Magenta FM returns from a hiatus to take on the important topic of boundaries. As always, we have a unique take on the topic. We focus less on what one should say or how to assert yourself. Instead, we go upstream and discuss energetic boundaries and how creating strong internal energetic boundaries can eliminate most, if not all, boundary violations.

We give lots of examples of places where you could have issues with boundaries that you may not recognize, including resentment, conflict avoidance, guilt, codependency, and doubt.

We’re going to talk about the energetics of setting boundaries where you focus on the right foundations for boundary setting so it's already in place. Another way to describe this is nipping bad boundary setting or violations in the bud, before they have a chance to even happen.

We get to the heart of the issue — and the unexpected secret — when it comes to boundaries and that is: self-esteem. Strong self-esteem means strong personal boundaries. Ones that you don’t have to enforce in an aggressive way, but are clear and firm to yourself and to the world.

We offer practical steps to strengthen your self-esteem in surprising and achievable ways!

Get a taste of How To Do Soul Work with our FREE 5-day Challenge.
Radical acceptance is a term that seems to be growing in popularity. Is radical acceptance really a good idea? Where should we apply this idea? And where might it cause more problems? When one is striving for inner mastery, won’t radical acceptance keep us short of our highest potential?

The Magenta team look at radical acceptance in three different contexts: of reality, of the circumstances of our lives, and of the parts of ourselves that are not easy to like or accept. Within each of these contexts, we offer our thoughts on when and how radical acceptance can help us get further toward our goal of inner mastery, when it can help us heal.

We share some stories about weaknesses that we struggle with and where radical acceptance can fit into the healing of those. Such as difficulty finding our voice when we are leading a team or a project, and facing our own inner fears and doubts. Do we just accept our fear as our fate and stay small? Or do we go to battle with the fear? And can we even win a battle against part of our own self? If so, how?

Lastly, we dive into a juicy personal story of jealousy. This story illustrates how the shame and embarrassment we may feel about the weak or unlikable parts of ourselves can make radical acceptance even more difficult. We discuss the difficult line of having compassion for our shadow while not letting it hijack us.

Get a taste of How To Do Soul Work with our FREE 5-day Challenge.
