クラシックギターを学び、2004～2008年はペルーでアンデスに暮らす老マエストロから超絶テクニックを伝授され、その魂と伝統をギターに刻んだギタリスト、笹久保伸さん。帰国後は出身地・秩父を本拠地として、「秩父前衛派」を名乗り、音楽のみならず写真、映画、美術などを通して、民俗調査や武甲山の環境問題にも取り組んでいる。4月始めに2枚のアルバム、モザンビークの音楽家マチュメ・ザンゴと共演した『Kalamuka』と、アンデス・アヤクーチョ地方の音楽をソロで奏でる『Layqa Taki』をリリースした。秩父とアンデス、秩父とアフリカが呪術的、魔術的に響き合う音世界を彼の語りと共に聴く。 Learn more about your ad choices. 1年前の3月、1st Album『Sparrow's Arrows Fly so High』をリリースするや否や、大ブレークした民謡デュオ、すずめのティアーズ（佐藤みゆき、あがさ）をゲストに迎える。日本各地の民謡や江州音頭をガット・ギターをベースにしたアレンジとバルカン風のハモりで聞かせ、ブルガリアやトゥヴァの民謡とも違和感なく手をつなぐ。その心地よさと開放感に一度でハマる人は後を絶たず。『ミュージック・マガジン』誌のベストアルバム2024 Jポップ/歌謡曲部門で第1位に選ばれたのをはじめ、各地のフェスティバルにも参加し、大躍進を果たした。4月12日の『RECORD STORE DAY 2025』に合わせて、アナログ盤もリリースされる。この1年の変化、さらなる展開を二人に訊く。 Learn more about your ad choices.
