- My dad worked weekdays in an oil company in Haifa. In the beginning he walked to work, later he bought himself a bicycle. The company boss was Brittish and he incited the Jewish and Arab workers against each other. That led to riots in 1947 between the groups. About 20 Jewish workers were killed. Also some arab workers were killed, says Dawoud Muhamed Naser. Han was born 1942 in Nazareth. Interpreter and photo: Mona Bibi. Recorded in Shatila camp in Beirut, Lebanon. Omkring 20 judiska arbetare dödades i upploppet. Även flera arabiska arbetare dödades, säger Dawoud Muhamed Naser. Han är född 1942 i Nasaret. - We lived in a big house in old Akka, with some our relatives. The house was close to a mosque, a cemetery and a prison. We looked after each other. Then every one was scattered, says Wageh Haki. Sen blev alla splittrade, säger Wageh Haki. Tolk: Firas Haki. Foto: Cato Lein.
