在这些民间讲述者中，张海盐尤其厌恶一个戴眼镜的胖子，每次都装作对他很了解的样子，给一群心智尚未成熟的年轻人讲他的故事，可是这个人学识一知半解，逻辑思维能力还差，连马六甲和霹雳州的地理位置都没有搞清楚，就敢出书坑人。也许正是因为这胸无点墨的特质，导致他写的每个故事只讲到一半就夭折了，像极了大清朝宫里的某种职业。而那人讲的故事内容，不是在挖苦丑化他，就是疯狂暗示族长的性取向，完全没有一个作家学者该有的样子，这让他非常不爽；如果不是他现在变得彬彬有礼，衣冠楚楚，要按他年轻时候的脾气，早一个巴掌打到他满地找牙了，还能由得这小儿如此信口雌黄。不过那人的读者们亲切地称他为只会挖坑的死胖子，男子觉得读者的眼睛有时还是雪亮的，那些擅长挖坑的人，迟早会掉进自己的坑里，正所谓“常在河边走哪有不湿鞋”；而等那些不成熟的年轻人长大了之后，就会恍然了解当初幼稚的自己被忽悠的有多惨。
