Ep.5: (Throwback ) Trust, Abundance & The Truth About Eve

Welcome back to pay to exist. So this week I have some clients and friends who are staying in town and we were chatting last night, about some content that I've done before and the direction of my brand. And I really aligned with what I wanted to do this week for you, which was instead of recording a new episode,  some of my best previous episodes and in this episode is a personal favorite of mine but it's also a favorite of the two women that are here and so I thought That I would bring that to you this week. So in this episode, I'll just read you the episode details. In the very first Sunday sermon page jives into why we as women have difficulty consciously and subconsciously trusting ourselves and other women and what it has to do with the story of creation, how to fall deeper and deeper into trust and avoid the fear of failing or losing it all. This is so important when it comes to being yourself authentically and living pay to exist. So I hope this is beneficial for you. I hope it's everything that you needed to be. And I hope that it does help you see yourself, but it also helps you see God, your creator differently as well. This podcast has it all. You guys, this is our very first Sunday sermon, and I couldn't be more excited and nervous in equal measure. So what this means is that I have a bachelor's degree in metaphysical science, and that makes me a minister of metaphysical science. And in order for me to uphold my ministral duties, I have to give a sermon every single Sunday. Now metaphysical science is a branch of philosophy. It's not necessarily. tied directly to the Bible and Christianity or Jesus Christ. So I will be in my sermons, definitely bringing in more biblical perspective, biblical scripture. And Yeah, just playing with that. So I asked on Instagram what you believed your top three biggest limiting beliefs are when it came to your business, getting to the next level of your business. And I got a lot of responses. A lot of them were pretty, they're same from the same thread. So I also asked Tiffany because she tends to have a pulse on what's going on in my field. And we're just really connected in that way. And I wanted to get, if I had a blind spot. Girlfriend was going to show it to me. So we talked and we believe that probably the most common thing, and this is, I hear this from women who are new in business and I heard this from women that are making millions of business. And it's, what if I do my best and I fail, or what if I get everything that I want, and then I lose it all. At the bottom of that, at the core of that is it comes down to trust in yourself and especially trust in yourself. And I say women and woman because that is who I'm speaking to and because historically as far back as they teach in general academia,  but even back to the Old Testament in Genesis, we are taught that women are not worthy as men, and that we are not to be trusted. If we're not outright told that we can't be trusted, it is, pretty much assumed when we are not allowed to preach the gospel, when we are not allowed to lead armies, when we are not allowed to make ultimate decisions. So kings make the ultimate decisions. We were not allowed to be generals in the army or any high ranking, women are just recently allowed to be in the army. So there are still a lot of people that believe that women should not be pastors, reverends any leader in the church. So this isn't victim mentality. I believe we have co creative command over what we see in our material world. And this is dynamic. and co creative, and that we are born into systems, structures, and environments, like school, like college, like our homes, like government constructs, that contribute to our belief system, and our belief in our power to live our lives as limitless beings, so we can't not talk about it. For me, growing up in church, it was communicated pretty heavily, and regularly, that Eve was selfish. She took the apple because she wanted to be as powerful as God. She gave it to Adam, he ate it, and then the fall of man occurred. Woman made a decision, man went along with it, which I have a lot to say about, and then the fall of mankind. Eve, in my mind, was a little bitch. Really? And the thing is, that's our first experience of women, other than our mother. If we went to church or we grew up in a Christian home, we are taught essentially that the reason Jesus had to die was for our sins. And the very first sin was perpetrated by a woman. We don't necessarily have a lot of trust going into this thing with other women and ourselves. And you can see the effects of that in the world today. So I was a huge fan of Eve, right? Considering that she's the very first or the very first of a few women given a semi supportive role in the Bible. Women are almost erased completely from the Bible. She's a big deal in our lives. It's a story we hear about a lot. She is the matriarch. We're all descended Eve and we don't trust that bitch. So it led to a lot of trust issues with women. And of course myself, so fast forward, 2019, here we are. And something just didn't feel right. Actually the last couple of years, it just didn't feel right. It really, it felt something was missing, it feels like a lot of things are missing, honestly, but it didn't make sense to me that Eve would do it. The more that I knew about myself and learned about women in general, about our intuition and our love our nature, it didn't make sense to me. So I had to understand why she did it, what did it really mean, and I had to ask the question, who gains from a woman causing the fall of man? The Bible as we know it, and that's sitting on your bedside table or your hotel's bedside table, has been around since the fourth century. All of the stories, all of the poems are written prior to that. But in the fourth century, under Emperor Constantine, a group of men, including Emperor Constantine, decided which of the many stories, poems, and gospels written would be included in the Bible as we know it today. Meaning that there were some excluded and that always fascinated me that how the our perception of the Bible was very intentional, and we have to look at the historical context. at the time, which is that it was a Roman empire. It was a patriarchal empire. Women were objects. They were not worthy or as worthy as men. So we have to consider all of that when reading the Bible, when teaching it. And so I think it's so important to self educate. As much as it is to listen to the stories of those who came before you. So before I dive into my interpretation in this episode, because that's what it is in this episode, this is a metaphysical interpretation of biblical scripture. Sometimes it's going to be from a harmonic lens. I'm going to dive deeper into the actual words, use the multiple contexts given of that word and the first mention as well. That's not what's happening today. Today, I, and I want to state this because I have friends that are Christian pastors and reverends, and they preach scripture from a hermeneutic lens. I want to talk about Eve. If we're going to understand this whole not trusting ourselves, not, being afraid that we're going to lose it all, I think it really is important that we go back to the garden and not only do I think it's important to go back to the garden, God thinks it's important because I've been like, I'm like, what am I going to say first? What am I going to talk about first? And I watched a movie last night. It was called Margin Call. It was about the crash of 2011, like the Wall Street crash of 2011. And on the door was the tree, right? And Then, one lonely bracelet of mine with a with trinkets on it was laying on my shelf, and it was the one, literally one of ten bracelets. One. with the tree on it. The tree of knowledge of good and evil. That's where we're starting. Okay. So let's talk about what actually happened in the Garden of Eden when Eve accepted that apple. So when God created Adam, he commanded from any tree of the garden, you may eat freely, but from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat. For in the day that you eat from it, you will surely die. Now we all know what happens. God creates Adam, tells him what's up. Adam goes to sleep. God creates Eve from his rib. Now we have Eve. Eve is strolling through the garden. When the serpent speaks to Eve, he says, Indeed, has God said you shall not eat from any tree of the garden? The woman said to the serpent, From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat. But from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, you shall not eat from it or touch it or you will die. The serpent said to the woman, you surely will not die. For God knows that in the day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Now, we have to look at the differences in how God introduced The tree to Adam and how the serpent introduced the tree to Eve. So God, listen to me as I say this. See how this lands. God says, from any tree of the garden you may freely eat. Serpent says, indeed, has God said you shall not eat any tree of the garden? Do you hear the difference? God, from any tree of the garden you may eat freely. That's abundance. You can eat from any tree of the garden. He starts, he introduces the tree from a place of abundance. The serpent. Indeed, has God said, you shall not eat. from any tree of the garden. He introduces to Eve the concept of the tree, she knows of it previously, but the way that the serpent speaks about it is in lack. And so the serpent goes on to affirm in his words that her eyes are closed. That she is missing something. Basically saying that she is not like God. That she is not already the power and presence and wisdom of God. The serpent is affirming that she is separate from God. And that she is unwise. And so the serpent has introduced lack to Eve. And from lack, the first sin occurs. She betrays God, The theologian Cornelius Platinga Jr., in his book, Engaging God's says that sin is culpable disturbance of shalom. Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace, wholeness, health, and blessings. When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from the fruit and ate. When she took from the fruit and ate, she affirmed that she was not whole and that she was not peaceful, that she was not healthy, and that she was not blessed. She had to walk past all of the trees and all of the fruit God had provided, all of the beauty that God had provided. She had to miss all of the power and presence of God that she was. So the first sin was affirming lack. The first sin was disrupting and disturbing the peace, the wholeness, the health, and the blessing that she was and that we are. She had good. She was surrounded by beauty. She had the breath and wisdom of God inside her, but she was looking at what she didn't have and she was afraid of what she didn't have and what she could lose. So how many of you are focused on what you don't have? What has not happened yet? What this other person has that you don't? The wisdom that you don't have? The knowledge that you don't have? The skills that you don't have? The level of success that you don't have? It takes a lot to miss, a lot of focus to miss all of the abundance that's around you, what you do have, what you have created, and furthermore, that you can trust you. Eve knew she repeated God's words to the serpent. She knew she could trust herself, but here's the deal. She brought it to somebody else. She brought it to an authority outside of her. The whole should I or shouldn't I eat the apple, I don't know. She brought it to an authority outside of her. And, when that happened, the serpent manipulated her. He limited her. He brought limitation and lack to her. But she knew, you can trust you. That your life is made up of many moments. But the ones that moved you, the ones that had appalled you forward, the ones that positioned you for favor and made sure you were at the right place at the right time, seeing the right thing, the right words and the right person. And the moments that have sustained you were the ones that you made when you trusted yourself. Do you know that? Can you see that? And that when you don't move for fear of losing, for fear of not having. For not knowing what the next step is. For it looking different. Affirming that you are lacking something. You die a spiritual death because you affirm that you are separate from the abundance that you were born from because Eve is our matriarch. We are born from her and she was born into the Garden of Eden surrounded by abundance with a man that she could have sex with whenever she wanted and she could have all the fruit. She could be naked before it became, shameful and we'll go into that in the next podcast. She had it all and she was connected to the power and presence of God. Before she knew that she wasn't, before she ate from the tree and saw that there was evil in the world, there was shame, there was guilt, there was sin, there was another way other than whole. When she opened up the opportunity. For the serpent to give his opinion on what God had said, she gave her authority to somebody or something outside of herself and she was manipulated and she was limited and she lost trust in herself. We have done that. We have all done that, but the deal is she could trust herself. She knew exactly what she repeated it to him. She could trust herself. You can trust yourself. She chose not to.  When she even opened up the consideration to somebody else, she was giving her power away and her authority away to something outside of her. And that's a mistake. She felt powerless in that moment because she had just given authority to somebody else. So we have all done this. And it's not a matter of, will I do this again? I will do this again many times over. What I notice is how quickly I go back to abundance. What I notice is how quickly I go back to trust and faith. And how I do that is I go inside and I look inside. I give no one else the opportunity to authorize my decision, my choice. I own it. I trust it. But first I go inside and I consult with myself. I consult with my heart. I consult with God, the truth of me. The soul of me. That I make my decision from an energy of abundance, wholeness, and faith. Imagine what that would be like to make your decision from a place of it's already done, it's already whole, it's already complete. And then I hold in faith, I trust, and then I appreciate the trees around me, I appreciate all the things that God has given me and all the things that I have co created with God by making choices throughout my entire life. All the decisions, all the trusting moments that led me here to this place in time with these beautiful children and this roof over my head and this healthy body, I appreciate those things. Think about how much abundance that they had to walk past in order to get to that one tree. So my intention is that this carries you into your week in full trust and faith in yourself and full trust and faith in the power and presence of God and affirming how abundant that you are. You created me. You created this moment. You created this sermon. Appreciate yourself. You have given and provided yourself the answers. Ep 4: From Burntout to Binge-Worthy: You Are The Algorithm

This is a very pay to exist episode. Because it really is all about what's so present for me right now, which is really that and how I've been living it low key. I've been doing it, not even realizing what I'm doing without a lot of strategy and intentionality and I just want to explain where I'm coming from and what I've been feeling and the thoughts and beliefs I've been telling myself and share where I'm at now and how I see it and the thoughts I have now to help you. Because I think so many of you are probably here too. I know a lot of my friends who have made millions and millions of dollars a month, if not that year, are really at this place. I haven't been seeing them show up. I haven't been seeing them create social media posts. And if they do, you can tell that there's just, It's this is what I feel I have to do in order to keep making money because this is the way that I've always made money. So this is mostly specific to IG, but this obviously works on TikTok, but IG is where I've had the most personal disconnect. And I show up more in my stories because my stories is actually more formatted in the way that I naturally want to show up and I'm going to talk about here. If you go to my IG, you're going to see my feed and you're going to see there's like maybe six or seven posts. Like I went through and archived all of it because none of it felt true to who I am in this moment. All of it felt like old data and old photos. Not that it wasn't great and I'm not grateful for it and it was very true to who I was in that moment or what I believed in that moment, but it does not encapsulate who I am in this moment. But if you go and you look, I don't think that I've sold, I don't outright sell on my IG, really. I send people to my DMs, but I don't sell, right? There are people who sell every single day and I know the results they're getting, like they're making 500, 000 a month. And so I had this belief in this story that if I wanted to make 500, 000 a month, then I should definitely be marketing and selling like that every single day. And that's just simply not true. It's the old data. It does not apply to who I am and my true desires and what I want now. And I've been battling that back and forth for at least two years now. It was a huge reason why I. Walked away from the Creator Collective because there was no way in that partnership that I was going to be able to teach the way that I teach or be the way that I want to be or approach social media the way that I believe that it's going and that is the most aligned with who I am and so It came fully through this morning. I've said it before to one of my clients Hannah I said She's what's your story strategy? And I am the oh no, I'm the juxtaposition cross of strategy and human design. So I, there always is a strategy, I'm just not aware of it until it's expressed in my reality and then I can see it. And then I can be like, Oh, I can see how I did that. And so I was telling her, I said if you watch my stories, it's a lot like watching a binge worthy show. Like a show that you love to watch, right? And you want to watch every single episode. When there's not a new episode, you're like, Where is the episode? Where is she? I get comments all the time in DMs if I don't show up for a few days, like, where are you? And it's just because it has created that. And then there's commercial breaks. But everything I sell in my stories is an extension of what I'm going through or who I am and what I'm speaking about in that moment. It's not like this pattern interrupt. It's an extension of who I am and it's an extension of what I'm talking about and it's an extension of the problem or the desire that you are tapped into or that emotion that you're tapped into in that moment. And then it goes right back into, The Binge Worthy Show. And even when I'm selling, I'm still selling in the way that I create the show. And I thought to myself, That's the disconnect. That's what I'm not doing on my feed. Or that's not how I'm feeling, or that's not how I'm approaching, or that's not the intention when I'm on my feed. And so that was really my aha moment was, wow If you really look at the most successful, and I'm talking about creators, beings, people who are being paid to exist. Not coaches, not industry leaders in this industry, which I know a lot of you are in. That's not who I'm referring to. I'm talking about people who are like paid to exist. They're truly sharing all aspects of their life and they're being appreciated in the form of payment in multiple ways, right? Not just through courses and masterminds and coaching. And I noticed that What people really want is this immersive, consistent, and emotional connection with you. And I think that a lot of industry leaders, or even, industry leaders and people that are making lots of money every single month, and selling every single day, or leading people into a lead magnet every single day They're trying to build connection, but it's still this just forced vulnerability. It's this, wow, I should really share this story because it's really gonna get people to connect with me versus telling it because it's on your heart or it's really present for you right now or sharing it and not calling people into something in that moment and just really holding that emotional connection and letting it be there. without then sending them to a lead magnet. Yeah, I've just been, I've noticed the disconnect but I haven't been able to put my word or my finger on it. Obviously people are coming to my mind as I'm speaking so it's giving me more context and more like specificity. But yeah, you guys know exactly what I'm talking about. You know exactly what I'm talking about and you're probably seeing the same things or the same people or similar people in your mind right now where it's look at my life where I struggled with this thing but it's i'm telling you this so I can tell you this thing versus I'm telling you this thing because I want to share it and it's true to me in this moment Or I was just thinking of it or I have this insight or I just remember this story or I really just yeah I want to share it And I have this thing, or do you need this thing? Or I could create this thing. Versus, do you see it's like a reverse order? It's a reverse order. And you can fucking feel it. And I have found, in watching this, that people do really want binge worthy series. People will follow and engage and buy effortlessly if you are crea Like, I'm still thinking of these people and I'm like, the reason people follow you is actually because of your fucking chaotic life, honestly. They actually follow you because you randomly show up and tell them you have This venereal disease or you randomly show up and tell them like I'm getting a divorce or you randomly show up and tell them XYZ they know that like you are randomly going to show up and tell them those things So that's what makes it binge worthy, but you don't realize that's why people are showing up they're actually showing up for The mess of it. Like the genuine, authentic mess of it and the genuine, authentic winning of it. And those moments that life bring that are authentically highs, right? And that you share. In the moment, or that you've curated in a way that amplifies them, and then, and you hold that moment have you ever thought that maybe the post could simply be this thing this thing that I went through? Have you gone through it? Like a comment comment below, and that's it. You let them have that emotional experience and you build that connection. And then maybe the next day, because of that connection, because of that conversation, you offer them a resource or a book that you found or something that really helped you and maybe you have an affiliate link for that. Or maybe you actually have, you want to create something that solves that problem for you or them and you post about that, right? There's just that different. It's a different fluidity, it's a different energy, and I think that's the way moving forward in my opinion. And so I see a lot of my friends struggling, and it's because you're still approaching it backwards. You're still approaching it like, I have this thing I want to sell, so I need to say these certain things in order to sell it, and I need to share this specific story because this is like a good story to sell this, versus having these things in the background and having these ways of, monetizing and they're there like this resource and tool bank that you have that you can pull from at any moment, but you just simply living your life and sharing it, or you just simply sharing an insight or an aha or a behind the scenes or a moment or, a tool or a trick, right? And then people connecting with that and people feeling that connection and then saying, do you have something for me that could help? Or then you pull the tool out. To me that allows you to show up way more authentically, way more fluid, and in a much more fluid way. But it also really establishes a genuine connection because you are being authentic. There's an actual intimacy there. And when you have that intimacy with people and you have that connection with people It's so easy to sell to them because you're not really selling to them You're just helping them and they can feel that and people always say that to me They're like, I don't feel like you're selling me anything. I'm like, it's because the sale is an extension of Me being myself, right and so One of the biggest issues I struggled with and when it comes to this is. Believing that people want to be in my world, right? People want to be in my world. I grew up bullied. I grew up feeling like I was excluded and feel like people didn't want to be around me and that I was a burden that was always pushing my way in, right? So I have a lot of evidence that says that people don't want to be around me or that I'm not worthy and that people don't want to be in my world. But I also have, and that's old data but it has a lot of emotional charge around it. But I also have a lot of evidence that say people want to be in my world. They really do. And so I think, honestly, my numbers and the amount of people in my world is a direct correlation of that disconnect, like that there's a lot more emotional charge around people not wanting to be. And so something that I've been really focused on is Playing with the subconscious belief that people don't want me, they don't want my advice, they just want to watch me. They just want to, watch the show. But they don't really want to be a part of my world, they don't want to be a part of my universe. Meaning, they don't want to get closer to me, they don't want to be in exchange with me. They want that from other people. And the truth is, they're already here. They're already here. You're already here. You're all just waiting for me to own it. You're all just waiting for me to own my role. And so that's the same for you. Whatever you're telling yourself, they're already there. There may be ten of them, but they're there and they're just waiting for you to fully own that people want. To be in your world. Something I'm telling myself a lot is, every post I share builds more desire and more connection. People love watching me and buying from me. Every post I share builds more desire and more connection. People love watching me and buying from me. They want to be in my world. People want to be closer to me. They want to be in connection with me. They want to be in exchange and transaction with me. They want to share with me. Also something I've been doing is really visualizing, what my content would look like if I did think of my social media in terms as a bingeable show, right? And all of this is so micro to the meta that I teach, right? So I teach that you're literally just in a hologram, which is your own movie. You're the writer, you're the director, you're the casting director, you are the producer, you're the makeup artist, you're the wardrobe. All of it. And so this is their very micro version of that. So really sitting and visualize like what you would want people to see if they were binging your show and looking at your life through that lens is actually, it makes you appreciate it so much more, but it actually makes content creation easier in my opinion, because you're like, They would love this. I love this. And that's actually how I've always looked at things. My mom even said this in an interview when somebody interviewed her about me. She was like, Paige has always wanted to bring you into her world and share what she was excited about. And that's how I've always looked at it. How that was actually my strategy and always has been my social media strategy. Really thinking about your life as, a show or a movie, ideally a show because you can have as many seasons as you want. And there's cliffhangers, which is really great for social media and then there's commercial breaks and all of that. But really what do you want people to see? And what do you want people to feel? And how can you look at your life and see those things and feel those things? That's the way that I've been thinking about it. So I want you to visually imagine your content as a show, with seasons, episodes, and a loyal fan base. What are they saying about you? How are they talking about your show? What are they saying about the main character? Just think about how people talk about shows in the media. And think about The feelings that your show invokes, and the problems, and the target demographic that's usually watching the show, then it becomes clear about what to offer them on the commercial breaks, or who to partner with in order to bring them what it is that they need, or what is an extension of the show that they're watching. And selling becomes effortless when your audience feels like they know you. People don't just buy because you know what you're talking about. They buy because they're emotionally connected to your world. Imagine someone following you for weeks, like hanging on to every single post that you post. What do they believe about you now? What makes them say, I need to be in her world? What is it? Embody and embed that energy into every piece of content. That energy. That knowing. That future energy into every single piece of content. And another thing that I'm really playing with is owning and embodying that influence completely. Really owning and embodying that way of approaching social media. Because I do believe it is where we're going, but also it's what feels the most authentic to me and the connection I want to have with my audience. And the level of influence that is on my heart. So I've been asking myself and playing with this as well. If millions of people were already watching and buying, how would I show up today? How would I feel? What would I be discussing? What would I be sharing? How would I be interacting? So close your eyes and feel the energy of already being a must watch, must buy presence. Step into that. Every single day as soon as you get up and you put on a piece of clothes When you put on your first piece of clothing, you're also putting on this energy this person as soon as you put it on You are a must watch must buy presence Start showing up today as if people are already binge watching your world drop any hesitation People are already here waiting for you to fully own it Then watch how sales, engagement, and energy shift when you move into this belief fully. Notice what is different. . Celebrate there is a difference. Celebrate change. No matter how you judge it. In fact, remove any judgment of the difference. of the change. Celebrate it. Jump up and down celebrating it. Appreciate it. Hold it. Together we are 100 percent going to change the face of Instagram first and foremost, but how people approach social media in this industry, in the world. Together we are going to shift. What people see on Instagram, what actually quote unquote works on Instagram, what celebrity and fame looks like, how it impacts the world. And we get to watch the world become this beautiful, creative, expansive, and abundant heaven on earth where everyone is paid to exist.
