Pipe Dreams Podcast is back for Episode 27 with Peter Hickman, one of the fastest road racers in the world and a dominant force in the Isle of Man TT. Growing up around motorcycles with a father who was a racer himself, Hickman’s journey into professional racing seemed almost inevitable. He made his British Superbike Championship debut in 2004 and quickly became known for his speed, skill, and adaptability across various disciplines of racing.

Hickman cemented his name in road racing history with his record-breaking performances at the Isle of Man TT, where he holds the fastest lap ever recorded at an average speed of 136.358 mph. With multiple TT wins, standout performances at the North West 200 and Macau Grand Prix, and success in the British Superbike Championship, he has proven himself as one of the most versatile and fearless riders on the grid. Beyond racing, Hickman has taken on new challenges, including owning his own team and putting together a competitive program with Triumph ahead of the Daytona 200.

In this conversation, Hickman shares his thoughts on what it takes to push the limits on some of the most dangerous tracks in the world, the mindset required for road racing, and the challenges of balancing BSB with real-road competition. He also discusses the growth of his PHR Performance shop back home, where he helps develop and tune high-performance motorcycles in addition to the foundation of his own 8-Ten Racing team in partnership with fellow BSB / Road-Racer, Davey Todd.

Follow @pipedreams_pod on social media!

____________________________________________________________________________________

Please support our partners: Law Tigers Motorcycle Attorney's: If you ever find yourself in an incident that may or may not require legal representation please call 1-800-Law-Tigers.

- No recovery, no fee for personal injury claims, and no expenses unless there is a recovery.

- Fees calculated as a percentage of the gross recovery.- FREE representation for motorcycle property damage claims

- FREE advice on all motorcycle matters

For more info visit https://lawtigers.com

____________________________________________________________________________________

Yuasa Battery: Setting the standard for powersports batteries since 1979.
Pipe Dreams Podcast is back for Episode 26 with former MotoGP star John Hopkins for an in-depth conversation about his incredible journey through the world of motorcycle racing. Hopkins started riding at just 4 years old and quickly made a name for himself, winning the AMA 750cc Supersport Championship at 17 and becoming AMA Formula Xtreme Champion the following year. His raw talent propelled him onto the MotoGP stage in 2002 with Red Bull Yamaha, where he rode 500cc machinery before switching to Suzuki’s four-stroke GSV-R in 2003.

His first pole position at Assen in 2006 set the stage for a breakout 2007 season, where he secured his first podium at Shanghai—one of four that year. Hopkins later raced for Kawasaki before their MotoGP exit in 2009, and in 2011, he made a return appearance with Suzuki, though injuries cut his season short.

Beyond the track, Hopkins opens up about the physical and mental toll of professional racing, his battles with injuries, and how they ultimately led to struggles with addiction. He discusses his path to recovery, the lessons he’s learned, and the motivation behind writing his book, where he tells his story in full. Now focused on mentoring the next generation of racers, Hopkins shares his passion for helping young riders navigate the sport with the guidance and support he wished he had.

Follow @pipedreams_pod on social media!____________________________________________________________________________________Please support our partners: Law Tigers Motorcycle Attorney's: If you ever find yourself in an incident that may or may not require legal representation please call 1-800-Law-Tigers.- No recovery, no fee for personal injury claims, and no expenses unless there is a recovery.- Fees calculated as a percentage of the gross recovery.- FREE representation for motorcycle property damage claims- FREE advice on all motorcycle matters For more info visit https://lawtigers.com/____________________________________________________________________________________Yuasa Battery: Setting the standard for powersports batteries since 1979.
