Putting the Squid to Bed is a podcast about creative people and their craft.Projects are rarely finished as much as they are surrendered. They can be like trying to tuck a squid into its bed. Just when you get two or three arms under the covers another four or five have slipped back out! And that that journey of discovery, creation, and surrender is what this show is about. Subscribe to Putting The Squid to Bed wherever you get your podcasts and join me as we talk about that journey together.

Hosted on Acast.
Dylan Scott Hryciuk is a writer & director based in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Much like most filmmakers, Dylan’s obsession started at an early age when he borrowed his families camcorder to shoot live videos of his brothers’ metalcore band in the mid2000s. He’s since turned that teenage passion into a career, developing his craft to write and direct projects of all kinds. Most notably, he’s directed music videos for artists across North America, collecting over 20,000,000 views, awards and online buzz.

Dylan’s work can be described as organized chaos. He creates layered visuals that put emphasis on rich world building, thematic through-lines and emotional vulnerability. He’s a bit of a bleeding heart and his goal is to make work that an audience can see themselves in all while being deeply personal.

Dylan's Instagram

Dylan's Website

Versa Films Instagram

Versa Films Website

"Our Last Day as Kids" Instagram

Jeremy Ratzlaff Instagram

Taegan O'Bertos Instagram

Tim's Instagram

Hosted on Acast.
