<p>2021年，攝影師呂佳桐在紐約上州露營時被蜱蟲叮咬後確診萊姆病，接受抗生素治療後病情好轉，但數月之後包括頭痛、極度疲勞、腦霧等症狀通通重新出現，讓她懷疑自己其實從未真正康復。</p> <p><br /></p> <p>在美國，慢性萊姆病(chronic Lyme disease)並非一個得到如CDC等主流醫學機構認證的疾病，這導致接受治療後仍然受到慢性症狀影響的萊姆病患者求助無門，承受著巨大的經濟和社會壓力。在患病的過程中，呂佳桐逐漸深入了解到，原來在美國特別是東部，慢性萊姆病患者數量龐大。作為其中一員，本職又是攝影師，呂佳桐決定用鏡頭記錄這個群體的困境。自兩年前起，呂佳桐拍攝了二十多位認為自己患上了慢性萊姆病的民眾，她的作品集「無依之地(Nowhere Land)」獲得多個國際認可，也激發了「時代」周刊對慢性萊姆病做出了可以說是美國主流媒體第一篇對此疾病的深入報導——「長期受到忽視，慢性萊姆病終於到了聚光燈之下」。</p> <p><br /></p> <p>嘉賓： Zoe 呂佳桐，攝影師</p> <p>主播：Bianca 何卓賢</p> --- Support this podcast: <a href="https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/worldjournal/support" rel="payment">https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/worldjournal/support</a>
