<p>最近報稅發現太太在 E Trade 裡有筆幽靈股票，明明帳戶顯示是零，結果竟然還藏著幾支 eBay 的 RSU。明明是自己的錢，卻莫名有種撿到錢的興奮感，但我太太卻緊張得不行，硬是怕股票不是我們的，非得趕快送走才安心，最後這筆錢直接繳了國稅局，她才終於睡個安穩覺。</p><p>順便也聊聊股票交易的記帳心得、為什麼我們家每次記帳都半途而廢，還有小孩看冰雪奇緣看到哭出來、看 SpaceX 火箭爆炸影片學科學、等等在學校被老師狂稱讚、以及 Roblox 到底是不是該讓小孩碰等等的閒聊日常。</p>

<p>這集的等等圖是最近很夯的 ChatGPT 幫你把照片轉成宮崎駿風格的圖畫。</p><p><br></p><p>今年報稅碰到了一個小意外，因為去年賣股票沒及時預繳稅金，被 IRS 罰了一筆不小的 underpayment penalty。研究了一下美國的 estimated tax 跟奇怪的季度劃分，才理解美國的報稅制度為什麼這麼複雜。我們嘗試用 Annualized Income Method 把罰款降下來，總算省了不少錢，但這過程仍讓我忍不住抱怨美國報稅系統有多麻煩。</p><p><br></p><p>轉眼之間，我竟然也快到了能打 USTA「40歲以上」組別的年紀。這件事讓我感慨不已，雖然爸媽還不太承認我已經「中年」了，但人生過了一半、步入保鮮期後段的感覺很真實。前陣子見到研究所的老同學，聊了些八卦，發現身邊的人原來都慢慢變了樣，有人從老實變渣男，有人從美女變成需要遮掩年齡的阿姨。細想起來，其實自己何嘗不是這樣，日常消費方式、家庭價值觀、甚至感情需求，都隨著歲月悄悄地改變了。</p><p><br></p><p>當了爸爸以後，才發現過去幻想的有錢生活，並不是開跑車或擁有物質，而是一種更樸實的平凡日常。我開始理解自己其實很需要家庭和情感上的支持，比起物慾，我更在意小孩帶來的「被需要」感與生命意義。</p><p><br></p><p>這些年來，不知不覺中，周遭環境改變了我們的想法，也塑造了不同的價值觀。原本看似遙不可及的消費，現在已經成為日常，但更重要的是，心境的轉變才是真正的改變。</p>
