ナレーション：西靖 手記朗読：水野晶子 大阪市に住む７４歳の男性が主人公。父は１８年前に亡くなり、母は今年に逝った。 母からずっと前に受け取っていた手記を十数年間、読まないまま放置していた男性は、 コロナで仕事が暇になったタイミングで、その手記に目を通してみる。すると、父が戦 時中、特攻隊として九州にいたとの記述が・・。 「父は特攻隊員だったのか！」初めてその事実を知って驚く男性。 しかし、父は戦時中のことを一切語らなかったので、具体的なことは全く分からない 。 そこで男性は、母の手記と父の遺品を手がかりに、特攻時代の父を調べ始める。 過酷な訓練と終戦直後の自決未遂、その後の、母との運命的な出会いなど、そこには 男性が知らなかった父と母の物語があった。 番組は、主人公や関係者のインタビュー、母の手記朗読で構成される。 制作：MBSラジオ
