<p>Svetovni mediji bijejo plat zvona zaradi dveh #asteroid ov, ki bi lahko dokaj kmalu padla na Zemljo, 2024 YR4 ter 101955 Bennu. Asteroida sta različih velikosti, zaradi česar bi njuna padca imela zelo drugačne #posledice. <p>Na lanski predbožični večer je ameriška NASA dosegla mejnik, ki se je še nedavno zdel nedosegljiv. Njena misija Parker Solar Probe (PSP) se je z osupljivo hitrostjo skoraj 700.000 kilometrov na uro, kar je enako 0,064 % svetlobne hitrosti, praktično dotaknila Sonca. S tem je sonda postala najhitrejše umetno telo v zgodovini. Hkrati se je naši zvezdi približala na zgolj 6,1 milijona kilometrov, kar pomeni, da se je potopila globoko v Sončevo korono, kjer temperature dosegajo peklenskih 2 milijona Kelvinov. Za ta uspeh je bilo potrebnih šest let in sedem bližnjih srečanj z Venero, a celotna zgodba ima mnogo daljšo brado — od idejne zasnove do izstrelitve misije PSP je namreč minilo kar šest desetletij.</p> <p><br /></p>
