WARNING: This episode contains discussions of disturbing and controversial subject matter, including violence and sexual content.

This episode I'm joined by Jeroen Bijil, the host of Horrible Reviews! Jeroen's fascinating YouTube channel has been dishing out prolific videos covering so many types of films, but his bread and butter is DISTURBING MOVIES. He's gained a massive following diving into some of the most upsetting, horrific, and provocative films out there, so naturally he's got quite a perspective on it. I also appreciate how open-minded and critical he is, not at all a narrow-minded cinephile but a curiously adventurous consumer of all types of movies. We focused especially on "The Coffee Table", "Melancholie Der Engel", and "Larva Mental", but those were just perfect jumping off points to go even further down the rabbit hole. Our chat was a blast and I can't wait to get him back on!

https://www.youtube.com/@UCtFTt2eP8nTsroEpc6IFmmA

https://www.instagram.com/Horrible.Reviews

https://letterboxd.com/horriblereviews/

These two have ambition just sweating out of them, so it was great to connect and find out what they have in store.
WARNING: This episode contains discussions of disturbing and controversial subject matter, including violence and sexual assault.

This episode I've got SOV filmmaker Susana Kapostasy on to talk about her most recent film, The Emasculator, as well as her previous work, Night of the Zodiac & Metal Maniac. Susana is a one-of-a-kind true artist, brimming with knowledge of exploitation cinema, making amazing comparisons between Italian Neo-Realism to SOV horror but also throwing her Thanksgiving meal onto a plate of nachos for true decadence. She's also a vet tech too with plenty of gnarly stories under her belt. I learned a lot, I laughed a lot, and I'm officially on the Susana Kapostasy train. Can't wait to see what she does next!
