<p>चित्रपट असो वा साहित्यकृती त्याला इतिहासाची पार्श्वभूमी असेल तर त्यातून वाद निर्माण होतात. अलीकडच्या काळात रायगडावरील वाघ्यावरुन उफाळून आलेला वाद असो, छावा चित्रपटामुळे निर्माण झालेले वातावरण असो वा फुले चित्रपटाच्या ट्रेलवरवरुन सुरु झालेला वादंग असो....चित्रपट अथवा लेखनाकडे आपण इतिहास म्हणून खरंच पाहावा का, त्यातून समाजात जाणाऱ्या संदेशाकडे कसे पाहिले जातेय, त्यातून कलास्वातंत्र्याचा संकोच होतोय का, कलास्वातंत्र्य देखील सोयीचे असेल तरच त्याचा पुरस्कार होतो का या व अशा अनेक वादग्रस्त मुद्द्यांवर प्रसिद्ध साहित्यिक व संशोधक संजय सोनवणी यांच्याशी संतोष देशपांडे यांनी केलेली ही रोखठोक चर्चा. </p>
