#175

#3 Oregon 32

#2 Ohio St 31

Gameday was awesome. McAfee was hilarious and the Duck continues to win. Oregon fan makes 100k field goal

Game script went almost exactly how I predicted

Catch that should have been a pick on first drive.

Bassa rips it’s away before Kazmerik has possession. Should have been a pick for sure. Leads to opening TD.

Harmon ripping the ball away from Judkins for a fumble. Hunt the ball, Harmon didn’t even go for the tackle. Jordan James rips off a huge run after to set the tone. Then scores on the next play.

Autzen creates multiple false start penalties

Missed FG from 44… oi vei sappington

Evan Stewart breaks out. Poncho has a bad snap and the next play Stewart hits a double move. 2 plays later he’s catching a fade route for a TD. 4 catches for 109 1 TD yards 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter.

Onside kick. Just like the scene from the replacements, where’s my bitch. Boyle kicks it straight at the upman for osu and Oregon recovers. Saleapaga recovers it.

Traeshon Holden spits on OSU defender. Ejected with 11:31 left. Dan Lanning immediately talks to him on the sideline, confirms that he did spin on him, gives him a pat on the butt.

Tez gets going with a big TD on 3rd and 9, second big play on OSU corner Denzel Burke. Oregon retakes the lead heading into the half. 22-21

Half

Ohio St fans in bathroom “by far the loudest stadium I’ve ever been in”

Big 4th & 1 call around midfield. TE drag route off play action to TFerg for a chunk play. Leads to another 4th down attempt, Oregon comes up short on 4th & 2.2 straight throws to Herbert, didn’t love that. Tez was wide open. Love the aggression from Dan. 22-28

Legit nervous at this point in Autzen.

3rd & 3, Will Howard misplays the snap and OSU has to punt.

Nervousness gone.

JJ huge blitz pickup. So awesome. Next play, DG keeps for a 27 yd TD scamper. 29-28

Oregon stuffed on the goal line trying to run behind Conerly.

Sappington FG puts Oregon ahead 32-31 with 1:47 left.

Matayo with the big sack to start the drive.

Yes it was OPI, obvious push off from Jeremiah Smith.

Ryan Day missed the fact that the game clock was running.

12th man penalty

Ohio St fans melting down on Twitter

Will Howard slides to end the game

Matayo…and the whole DLine . Wow what a game. 19 yards rushing allowed in 2nd half.

Conerly and the whole OLine, unreal game. DG barely bothered all day long. Only 2 TFLs allowed

Nitpick- Redzone offense needs to be better.

OSU hasn’t given up 100 yd rusher or receiver, gave up both to Oregon.

Oregon ran through Ohio Sts face. 8 plays over 25 yards. Over 500 yards of total offense.

Gee Scott stats 3 for 46, two of those receptions were on 3rd downs

Ducks vs Them

Jab jab jab … knockout. Perfect metaphor from Dan this week.

Top 5 sporting event Ive ever been too

Oregon solidified itself as a Big 10 championship and National championship contender.

On to Purdue

1-5, 0-3 in conf

#2 Oregon -28.5 o/u 58.5

@ Purdue

Friday Night at 8pm

Is West Lafayette the Big10 Pullman? Weird things happen there at night.

Purdue changed QB (Ryan Browne) and OCs going into the Illinois game and played much better.

Lost in OT 49-50

Browne ran for 118 yards on 17 carries while throwing for 297 and 3 TDs.

Purdue was down 27-3 in the 3rd quarter and battled back vs Illinois. Should have won the game on a late fumble by Illinois QB Luke Altmeyer, but they called him down. Game never should have gone to OT. Went for 2 after the first TD in OT and Illinois wins on a sack.

Ducks must have a spy on Browne and control him in the running game. Devon Jackson and Bryce Boettcher must have big games.

DG must avoid a letdown and have zero turnovers. Do not give Purdue any life.

Purdue defense giving up over 9 yards per pass, ranked 128th in the country.

Will Purdue be able to bounce back emotionally to keep this game close? This is the same team that had players out drinking before Oregon St… they just lost a heartbreaker and have the #2 in the country coming to town. Do they fight or do they roll over. Purdue could lose this game in the first quarter.

Oregon wins if

They start strong and minimize mistakes.

Oregon loses if

West Lafayette is the Pullman of the Big10, chaos and shenanigans ensue.

Prediction

Oregon 48

Purdue 13

Oregon 40

Purdue 9

Last Take

Moving sucks
--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-flock-pod/support
