There comes a time to no when to quit, this is that episode. I won’t get into all the details here but I did say when Nick and I restarted recording episodes that if I decided it was time to stop I would be sure to let everyone know this time instead of just disappearing. In this episode we announce the winner of Nick’s hardcover edition of Clumsy Predators and then we get into why it is time to wrap things up for the podcast. The content on YouTube may continue sporadically but so far as the podcast goes, it is time to wrap things up. We hope you understand. With that it is time to say so long, but we are not saying goodbye to any of you. Thank you for the time to share our love for the outdoors with you, we appreciate you all.

Steve

Nick and I spend a bit of time catching up and then jump into a discussion about vinyl records. I know this is a bit out of the ordinary but we had spoken at the end of our last episode about how vinyl records had made such a comeback and the similarities between traditional archery/bowhunting and vinyl records. As you will hear we are a bit passionate about both and Nick and I really had a good time with this episode. We hope you enjoy it as well.

Also, at the beginning and end of the episode we discuss a giveaway for listeners. Nick is giving away a copy of his book Clumsy Predators (https://amzn.to/4cCL0AF) in hardcover. Very generous gesture on Nick’s part! So to enter you will need to Like the post for this episode on the Traditional Outdoors Facebook Page ( https://www.facebook.com/TraditionalOutdoors ), share the post to your personal timeline and then comment on the post that you have completed these tasks and we will add your name into a random drawing and announce the winner on the next episode. Entries will end on August 25th and we will select a random participant and announce the winner on episode 150 in a few weeks. Don’t miss this chance to own a beautiful hardcover copy of Clumsy Predators!!!!

Nick and I spend a bit of time having a discussion about a recent Facebook post that got our attention. The post we are talking about asked the question: "would our great grandfathers would be proud of the pursuit of trophy whitetails by hunters today?". There was a good bit more about that post to unpack and Nick and I just had a conversation much like we would have done had we been sitting around a campfire. Nothing we say here was meant to be an attack on the individual that made the post, we do understand the point the person was trying to make, it was simply the thoughts that we had come to mind that found their way into our conversation and we recorded an episode while sharing those thoughts. We hope you enjoy and would love to hear your own thoughts on this topic. [...]

The post Proud Ancestors appeared first on Traditional Outdoors.
