On this 13th and last episode of the Value-based healthcare podcast I spoke with Joe Casey whom I have known for years from the EUHA (European University Hospital Alliance). He is director of partnerships and programs for King's Health Partners and he has a ton of experience in implementing VBHC.

We cover a lot of topics, from the breadth of his work within the system that is King's Health Partners, about how the pandemic changed the focus of his work, to his general view on Value-based healthcare which I want to quote "VBHC is not a strategy that will fix healthcare, there is not strategy that will fix healthcare. VBHC is a framework that supports people to talk, to understand one another to understand their differences".

The book he recommends is "Radical Uncertainty" by John Kay Mervyn King.

We also spoke about the ERasmus MC Summer School that you can find here https://erasmus-vbhc-course.nl/

Have fun listening!
