Vulnerability with a comedic undertone. Join us as we discuss a thought- provoking video each week going over various things like implications of our actions on others, unorthodox ways to test your emotional empathy, ways to hold yourself (and others) accountable, and tons of laughter accompanied by some surprisingly dark humor.

00:00 INTRO

1:50 Wrong Way to Eat Tacos

7:56 When Your Man Comes From a Healthy Family, Then Meets Yours

13:28 Turning Your Trauma into a Kink

20:55 People Don’t Abandon People They Love...For the Most Part

28:02 Sometimes, You Really Are Doing Too Much For Others

35:00 Having the Confidence to Advocate For Yourself and Your Needs

Welcome to another episode of Vulnerabilities with Devon Vox, thank you for being vulnerable with us! We have a very special episode today as we continue in our reaction based deep discussions:

The 1st video is for the kinksters, taco lovers, and people that embrace the edgier sides of sex. We thought the video was going to go one way and it caught us off guard! This leads us into a very fun lighthearted conversation about kink.

The 2nd video is for the people born into supportive loving families who enter into relationships with people who have the opposite upbringing and vice versa. It’s a semi serious video with some difficult chuckles but it’s one that we feel like a lot of people nowadays are in the midst of figuring out: how to traverse adulthood with vastly different communication styles.

The 3rd video is for the people trying to understand who’s trustworthy and who is not. Being abandoned sucks and leaves you confused. Anybody caught in this storm rarely ever gets the communication, love, or support they deserve so if you’re feeling abandoned then this conversation is for you. Advocating for yourself is a skill. You deserve to love yourSELF. Healthy communication can lead you to some surprising destinations in yourself AND in bed.

We also have a Youtube Channel! We have a very special episode today as we continue in our reaction based deep discussions:

The 1st video is for the mothers, the fathers, honestly the kids too. If You find yourself in need of produce and you use Uber, they might be able to hook you up with some summer produce for those hungry mouths. In our household we devour strawberries, blueberries, avocados, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, ginger, and potatoes on the reg. Sae’s kids find a huge jar of Nutella to go with their strawberries sometimes. If you got a weird produce fix this may be the segment for you!

The 2nd video is a reality check that launches us into a deep discussion on the nuances of dating, the difficulties of getting to know women & femmes from a woman/ femme perspective, RBF struggles, and the impossible nature of being a Giver but having to play defense as well.

The 3rd video is a preference situation. Do you have a natural attraction to masculine folks from go? Or do you have a natural fear or hesitation? Do you have a natural attraction to women? Does that attraction and its strength ever worry you? What about how that attraction level leaks into our society? Our media? Come through if you’re in the mood for a fun and energetic empathy trip as we give our triangle perspective on these topics.

Devon Vox - https://linktr.ee/blackdreads

Insta - @vulnerabilities_with_devon_vox

Artist Insta - @devonvox

Twitch - Devonvoxxx

Follow our Insta or Twitch to be part of the livestreams!

You can also EASILY leave a rating and review on Apple Podcasts by scrolling down to the bottom of the show page, selecting a star rating, and tapping “Write a review.” 5 stars and positive reviews help our podcast get discovered, so thank you!

Also a huge shoutout to these fantastic video creators

@theamiyrahmartin

@livecivil

@adriennerae_

We have a very special episode today as we continue in our reaction based deep discussions:

The 1st video is for the dog owners that come back home only to be further interrogated by your dog about your activities. YOU BEEN WHERE?! WITH WHO?! Seriously if dogs could make videos this is what they would look and sound like. If you’ve ever gone out without your dog and they yell at you when you come back this video and discussions for you.

The 2nd video pains me to have to talk about but here we are. People who are complimenting you in public are not always trying to hit on you. Sometimes they actually want you to feel good about yourself with no other intentions. I get it. Negativity is far easier to perceive and talk about. The world is a dangerous and dark place right now. But seeing each other in the best light possible is the only way to allow the person in this video to authentically show up as their SELF. Instead of having to have that voice in his back pocket, I hope we can start talking to each other like this more often in a candid fashion.

The 3rd video is done by one of my favorite creators in the game right now. As the creator of the Do the Work Podcast Sabrina Zohar is stepping into the forefront of harmful dating norms, self regulation, and vulnerability. She gives a rundown on how harmful not taking accountability is, when you may be the red flag yourself, and do’s/don’ts of dating if you care about effecting the world around you. This incurred a deep dive addressing topics like misogynistic history, why dating is so hard right now, and why women don’t get as much flack for pushing negativity compared to men.

For more content check out these links

Devon Vox - https://linktr.ee/blackdreads

Insta - @vulnerabilities_with_devon_vox

Also a huge shoutout to these fantastic video creators

@do.the.work.podcast

@Sabrina.zohar

@2husketeers

@godisapwrbttm
