Inspired by her own experiences, Indy shares lessons learned from three patients on the importance of being compassionate while providing care. Implicit biases and patience have major impacts when it comes to providing appropriate patient care. His work with post-operative pain has given him a specific view on how best to work with opioids in the community as pharmacy practice still faces issues with ongoing abuse, misuse, and recovery. This interview will cover how pharmacy can continue moving forward to help patients and providers best handle patients struggling with the opioid epidemic and better their communities.
