<p>从前有人名叫杨朱，有一次，他去见梁王，和梁王谈治国的方法。<br /></p><p>梁王不愿意听他的话，说道：“先生！你自己的一家也治不好，怎能治国呢？”<br /></p><p>杨朱道：“你不看见那牧羊的童子吗？几十、几百只羊，只须一个小孩子在后面，拿着鞭子赶它们；要它们向东，就向东；要它们向西，就向西。然使尧在前面牵了一只羊，舜拿了鞭去在后面赶，那羊却不听尧的指挥。难道尧舜的本领的本领不及牧羊的孩子吗？能治国的人，未必能治家，好像是尧、舜未必会牧羊。”<br /></p><p>（原出列子）<br /></p><span><br /></span>
