<p>We hear that writing in a journal can help when you're in the midst of grief - but why? And how? <p>Each of our experiences of saying goodbye to our parent/s for the last time are different. Whether you were with them when they passed, travelled to the hospital afterwards, or had to find your own individual way of saying goodbye - it's never what we quite expect. </p><p>In this episode, we chat with Chloe Kent who shared a sketch based on her own experience of her final goodbyes to her mum, which you can watch <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@chloekent89/video/7221589536063687941?_r=1&u_code=dbe10g3i5hld7h&preview_pb=0&sharer_language=en&_d=dibhaljf2gmk3a&share_item_id=7221589536063687941&source=h5_m&timestamp=1683196019&ug_btm=b5836,b2878&sec_user_id=MS4wLjABAAAAw0d3yDrawUQ0Un0FXqzr1BRSs38LrYpW3-8vb0NUn-DiFWOnXfs8MrU9zZvFU7Wu&utm_source=whatsapp&utm_campaign=client_share&utm_medium=ios&tt_from=whatsapp&user_id=6806915602940396550&share_link_id=21A725AD-4C24-467B-BD2F-93682B124607&share_app_id=1233" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here.</a> </p><p>Fact is - the reality of this moment is usually so far from what we think it would look like. Have films and TV shows given us a warped reality? And why is it so AWKWARD? Would you go back and change what you said or how you acted if you could?</p><br><p>You can listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all the other streaming platforms.</p><br><p>To find out more, visit our website at <a href="https://open.acast.com/shows/611f8c014804724e08143eed/episodes/www.deadparentclub.co.uk" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.deadparentclub.co.uk</a> or follow us on social media by clicking the links below:</p><br><p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/deadparentclubpodcast/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Instagram</a></p><p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/deadparentpodcast" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Facebook</a></p><p><a href="https://twitter.com/dpcpodcast?lang=en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Twitter</a></p><br><p>Special thanks to This Is Distorted for their time and effort in producing this podcast</p><p>Support this show <a target="_blank" rel="payment" href="http://supporter.acast.com/deadparentclub">http://supporter.acast.com/deadparentclub</a>.</p><br /><hr><p style='color:grey; font-size:0.75em;'> Hosted on Acast.
