This is the podcast that helps you protect your children's WHOLE HEALTH: body, mind and mood, through food. At Earth Food First, our mission is to reimagine America’s kid food culture! Want to raise veggie lovers, learn how food affects mood, transform “picky-eaters” into “learning eaters,” say good-bye to mealtime drama and learn the recipe to embrace FARM FOOD over FACTORY FOOD? You, my friend, are in the right place! Every Thursday, integrative nutrition coach, cookbook author and toddler mama Lindsay Navama dishes up actionable, unconventional and outside the cereal box ways to help you feed your children the way you really want to—using FOOD as a TOOL to protect their both mental and health, not to mention reduce melt-downs, increase focus and so much more. Despite knowing more than ever before about the critical role food plays in protecting lifelong health, the mental and physical wellness of our youngest citizens has been declining at an alarming rate, according to the CDC, with ⅓ of kids in America being diagnosed with obesity and serious depression having increased among young people by 40% in the last decade. What’s going on?! We have a serious CULTURE PROBLEM. America’s current kid-food culture makes it WILDLY EASY for young people to become addicted to highly processed, factory food early in life and simultaneously VERY DIFFICULT for parents to teach their children to eat the whole, earth foods that actually protect their mental & physical health. If we continue down this processed path, our children’s health will continue to decline, earlier and earlier in life. OR, we can educate ourselves and CHOOSE to rewrite the future, where FARM FOODS once again become the norm and factory foods are forced to be held to higher, healthy standards to earn a SMALL place on our plates and in our lives. Join us weekly for candid conversations with expert guests from around the globe, as we educate, debate and ultimately create a NEW FAMILY FOOD culture, together. We’re excited you’re here and thanks in advance for being BOLD! Join the movement @earthfoodfirst on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/earthfoodfirst/

<p>Has this momprenuer discovered "the secret sauce" to helping parents raise adventurous eaters while deterring picky eating habits? Listen in to decide for yourself!</p><p>Did you know the sooner we expose our kids to a wider variety of flavors, the less likely they are to develop picky eating habits? But sadly typical American "kid food" culture only represents sweet, salty and fatty—leaving most kids unfamiliar with the bitter, sour and umami—flavor profiles that exist in so many nutrient rich vegetables and other whole foods. </p><p>Jill Weissman, mom and founder of Beyond the Bib, is on a mission to help expand children's palates early in life with nutrient dense, savory sauces the whole family can enjoy, made with ONLY pure, whole, clean ingredients. </p><p>But WHY do we need another sauce company, you might be wondering? Jill, who previously sourced ingredients for a very well-known organic baby-food company, tells us EXACTLY WHY and HOW her approach can help us raise "omni-eaters" in our candid, mom to mom convo. <strong>If you have kids at home, this episode is a must.</strong></p><p><strong>After listening you’ll walk away knowing more about: </strong></p><ul><li>How sauces can be used as a tool to expand children's palates and teach them to enjoy different flavor profiles </li><li>Jill’s take on a some controversial topics in our current kid-food culture</li><li>What ingredients to watch out for and avoid in store bought sauces </li><li>What makes Beyond the Bib different from all other store bought sauce</li><li>Jill’s top tips for starting your own food brand & her biggest challenges </li><li>The journey from kitchen testing to mass production</li><li>Advice for starting a business as a toddler mama </li></ul><br/><p><strong>CONNECT WITH JILL & BEYOND THE BIBB</strong></p><p>Website <a href="https://beyondthebib.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://beyondthebib.com/</a></p><h2>USE DISCOUNT CODE "EARTHFOODFIRST" for 15% off entire order</h2><p>Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/peasandpixels/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@</a><a href="https://www.instagram.com/beyondthebibfood/#" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">beyondthebibfood</a></p><p><a href="https://beyondthebib.com/blogs/toddlermealrecipes/pizza-waffles" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PIZZA WAFFLE RECIPE #YUM</a> </p><p>https://beyondthebib.com/blogs/toddlermealrecipes/pizza-waffles</p><p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CwTuR2utwDb/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PIZZA WAFFLE VIDEO</a> | https://www.instagram.com/p/CwTuR2utwDb/</p><p><strong><u>Earth Food First LINKS</u></strong></p><p><a href="https://view.flodesk.com/pages/645012d78c37c66117b4516c" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">FREE GUIDE to raising veggie lovers</a>: tips & habits + quick recipes + meal plan + grocery lists</p><p>https://view.flodesk.com/pages/645012d78c37c66117b4516c</p><p><a href="https://earth-food-first.myflodesk.com/food4thought" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Join the EFF newsletter </a>for weekly recipes, support and inspiration!</p><p>https://earth-food-first.myflodesk.com/food4thought</p><p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/earthfoodfirst/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Instagram</a> (Come hang out for EFF recipes, support & new knowledge)</p><p>https://www.instagram.com/earthfoodfirst/</p><p>WEBSITE: <a href="https://earthfoodfirst.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">earthfoodfirst.com </a></p><p><a href="https://www.amazon.com/Hungry-Harbor-Country-Southwest-Michigan/dp/1572842873" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">MY COOKBOOK </a>- Hungry for Harbor Country (discover delicious lake-life anywhere)</p><p>https://www.amazon.com/Hungry-Harbor-Country-Southwest-Michigan/dp/1572842873</p><p>Use discount code: EARTHFOODFIRST for 20% off an order on HappyWolf.com</p><p><br></p><p><strong>WORTH...
